Ford, the official automotive sponsor for American Idol, returns for its eighth season as a leading sponsor of American Idol since the show's debut in 2002. Ford will put specific emphasis on the 2010 Fusion and the 2010 Fusion Hybrid throughout this season. New Ford vehicles and the Top 12 American Idol contestants will be featured each week in-show during the exclusive Ford music videos. This content, along with the “making of” segments featuring the contestants, will also be available on
americanidol.com. In addition, Ford will again offer the Ford Music Video Challenge, a unique consumer promotion that offers fans an exclusive chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime American Idol experience.
An interactive promotion, the Ford Music Video Challenge started on Thursday, February 26, and will end on May 8. Fans can log on to
www.americanidol.com/ford/challenge weekly to watch the music videos and enter for a chance to win weekly prizes including a trip for 2 to the Ford Music Video set, a pair of tickets to the Tuesday night show and 1 of 8 limited edition American Idol Fusions. The Grand Prize winner will take an all-expenses-paid trip to the American Idol finale in Los Angeles and receive a one-of-a-kind limited edition American Idol Fusion Hybrid.
