Four engine types available are: the 210-horsepower 4.0-liter SOHC V-6 on V-6 and V-6 trims; 300-horsepower 4.6-liter SOHC 3-V V-8 with dual exhaust on GT, GT Premium; 4.6-liter SOHC 3-V V-8 with Power Upgrade Package on the Bullitt; and the 5.4-liter supercharged and intercooled V-8 with dual exhaust on Shelby GT500 version.

Various optional packages available on different Ford Mustang models include Sport Exterior Appearance Package; GT Appearance Package; Comfort Package; Premier Trim with Color Accent Package; and GT500 Premium Interior Trim Package.
