The 2008 super duty Ford F-250 is a series of full-size pickup trucks available in five trims: XL, XLT, FX4, Lariat and King Ranch. All trims come in two driving configurations: all-wheel drive (AWD) and two-wheel drive (2WD). These trucks differ from each other in terms of their box size.

All trims come standard with a wide range of warranty coverage. This includes a 3-year or 36,000-mile  bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 5-year or 60,000-miles powertrain warranty, and a 5-year or 60,000-mile roadside assist warranty. Besides, they have unlimited coverage against corrosion within the set warranty period.

The super duty F-250 truck comes with a choice of  two gasoline engines and one diesel engine. All trims come standard with a 5.4-liter, three-valve SOHC EFI Triton V-8 engine that generates 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. The available 6.8-liter three-valve SOHC EFI Triton V-10 engine generates 362 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. The 6.4-liter power stroke diesel V-8 engine generates 350 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The trucks running on gasoline have an electronic engine control system and a specially-tuned induction system with the 5.4L and 6.8L engines.  

The F-250 truck offers a choice of different transmissions. The six-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on all trims. The optional TorqueShift five-speed automatic comes with overdrive and tow/haul mode. This durable and proven TorqueShift transmission includes a selectable tow/haul mode that compensates for altitude, grade and load conditions by automatically adjusting to reduce gear hunting, while improving power delivery and control of vehicle speed on hills.  The trucks have an average fuel economy of 17/13 mpg (city/highway).

The F-250 oozes a feeling of big and spacious. The trucks look aggressive and sturdy, showing their brute force in a big taut face that has an elaborate design with front-mounted lights and a huge grille. The super duty trucks come with telescopic or foldable, heated-glass power mirrors that can be extended up to 70mm. The King Ranch has a chrome grille with pueblo gold inserts. It has a two-tone paint with pueblo gold lower accents, bumpers, cab steps, and box rail/tailgate moldings.
The interior has a new floor console which provides space for all kinds of stowage, with inside and outside power points and room for laptops. There is a factory-installed integrated step that can be pulled out to make way for a truck box. The step is hidden in the tailgate. The trucks have the option of a stowage bed extender that provides cargo support for hauling large quantity of cargo.

The 2008 super duty trucks come with a four-wheel anti-lock braking system, adjustable safety seatbelts, and driver/passenger air bags as standard safety equipment. A Securilock® anti-theft ignition and traction control are available as optional safety features.
