The 2012 Ford E-Series lineup is productive and convenient to everyone from small business owners to custom upfitters to larger commercial fleet operators. The 2012 Ford E-Series vans are available in E-150, E-250 Super Duty and E-350 Super Duty regular and extended-length configurations. Wagons are available in and E-150 and E-350 Super Duty regular-length and E-350 Super Duty extended-length configurations. The passenger vans of regular-length can seat between 7 to 12 passengers and passenger vans with extended-length can carry up to 15 passengers.

Powertrain And Performance

All E-Series vehicles equipped with either the 4.6-liter or 5.4-liter V-8 engine are capable of running on E85 (85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline), pure gasoline or any blend in between. Standard on E-150 and E-250 models is a 225-hp 4.6-liter V8 teamed with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Optional on the E-150 and E-250 is a 255-hp 5.4-liter V8, which is standard on E-350 models. This engine is teamed with a 4-speed automatic transmission or optional 5-speed automatic. The E-350 gets an optional 305-hp 6.8-liter V10, or a 235-hp 6.0-liter V8 turbo diesel coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission. An upgraded heavy-duty alternator is optional with the 5.4-liter V8, 6.8-liter V10, and the diesel engine.

Build And Styling

The standard and available 2012 Ford E-Series technology features include SYNC voice-activated communications and entertainment system featuring 911 Assist, Vehicle Health Report and Traffic, Directions-Information with GPS-based turn-by-turn driving directions and information services, Ford Work Solutions, available Rear View Camera System, dash-mounted audio input jack included with CD radios, SIRIUS satellite radio, navigation system with a 6.5-inch touch screen display and HD Radio technology, plus SIRIUS Traffic and SIRIUS Travel Link and available Reverse Sensing System. The key comfort and convenience features include a functional, user-friendly instrument panel and center console, cleverly integrated storage features and large glove boxes.

The standard and available 2012 Ford E-Series safety features include driver and front passenger seats airbags, side door intrusion beams, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, available Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, four-wheel disc Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
